'D' Company Auxiliary Division leaving Galway on 19 January 1922 accompanied by the bands of the 17th Lancers and 4th Worcestershires and by a guard of honour of 100 RIC. The photo was taken at Eyre Square and AM Mooney is probably immediately behind the band nearest the railings with other officers leading his men.The second band brings up the rear after the RIC guard with the Auxiliaries just turning the corner.
