James Kent was a Schoolmaster on 6 June 1841.1

He appeared in court on 5 October 2020 charged with unlawfully obtaining money by false pretences. The jury found a verdict of guilty. A similar indictment was not proceeded with.2

They were both of the parish and were married by banns by the curate, John Lake. They both signed their namers in the register.5,6,7

John lived at Villingey when he died.7 and was buried on 15 April 1822 in St Mawgan aged 87 years.2,7
